About this product
Citanew Tablets 10mg contain Escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) and one of the most prescribed antidepressants globally. It increases serotonin levels in the brain, improving mood, reducing anxiety, and restoring emotional balance in patients with depressive and anxiety disorders.
Key Uses: Major depressive disorder (MDD), generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Composition: Escitalopram 10mg per tablet. Pack of 14 tablets. Dosage: Typically 10mg once daily, increased to 20mg if required.
Therapeutic effect may take 2–4 weeks. Do not stop abruptly — taper under physician guidance. ⚠️ Prescription Required: Use under psychiatric or medical supervision. Monitor for mood changes especially in the first 4 weeks of treatment. Avoid concurrent use with MAOIs.
